I have worked with and alongside other people for 20 years in private companies. I understand how stressful this can feel and have first hand experience of the adaptability required to make a success of a career or job in a fast paced and pressured environment.
When working in business I enjoyed aspects of the work but always had the feeling that there was something else out there in the job world that could feel more satisfying.
I had a sense that I had the ability to do the work of a counsellor and so I signed up to begin the training course in Psychosynthesis counselling and 3 years of deep personal exploration and growth work followed.
Once qualified I began to build a private counselling practice having gained experience of working with clients through a year and a half’s student placement.
Finding and building resources is a key part of managing a busy life. In 2013 I learnt the Transcendental Meditation technique and with regular daily practice I have found it a deep and an enriching tool for life.
